This is basically just a gimmicky little read that ostensibly brings together a bunch of poems that were written by cats. If you’re into poetry and you have a cat, you’re probably going to enjoy it, which is why I picked it up.

If you’re not into poetry or you don’t have a cat, you might not enjoy it as much. It’s whatever, a gimmicky book that nevertheless could make a good gift for someone. So yeah.

Francesco Marciuliano – I Knead My Mummy and Other Poems By Kittens

A cute little collection of short, free-verse poetry, inspired by felines of all forms. The poems are presented as though they’ve been written by cats about the subjects that cats care about, and most of them are beside a photograph of a cute kitten. While it is, to some extent, a novelty book, it’s one of the better ones and it’s the perfect gift for cat lovers, poetry lovers and particularly for lovers of cat poetry. What a niche market.
