This book is a gimmick and it knows it, and so I don’t think you should pick it up if you seriously want to learn Welsh, although it will teach you a few words and phrases to get you started.
Really, I bought this for the simple reason that I was in Wales at the time and I have a cat. That’s pretty much the main reason why you’d buy a book like this. It’s cute though, and I liked the way it also included guides to pronunciation.
