I didn’t realise that Camus wrote fiction and had thought of him as only a non-fiction philosopher, but I suppose I misjudged him. He was a versatile guy, as is shown by the fact that he was also a pretty good goalkeeper.

The story here was good and will keep you reading until the end, but it’s not really what the book is about. It’s a bit like how The Old Man and the Sea isn’t really about a dude going fishing. Instead, Camus uses the story to ask you questions that you’ll be thinking about long after you’ve finished reading. It’s food for thought for sure, so try it.

Albert Camus – Create Dangerously

Camus has some great ideas in this book about creativity and what the act of creation means to us as a species. There are some other essays here too, and they’re all equally insightful. Definitely worth reading – multiple times!
