It’s hard to categorise this one because I can’t figure out whether to call it fiction or non-fiction. It doesn’t help that my edition contained no introduction to provide any context and that I don’t know anything about Richard II.
Still, it was a decent enough play, even if it’s not one of my favourites. I suspect it would be a lot of fun to see live, especially because of the subtleties involved. I think King Richard’s character could be interpreted in different ways by different actors. As is, though, it was only so-so. So there’s that.
