I still don’t particularly like who Ted Hughes was as a person, but I am growing increasingly fond of his work. He’s an interesting example for me of separating the art from the artist.
There’s a lot of wit here and dry humour, and while that might not work for everyone, it worked pretty well for me. It’s probably my favourite of all of the Hughes that I’ve read so far, and now I like crows a lot. Cheers, Ted.
