This book is a little bit of an odd one because it’s hard to classify. I suppose that it’s technically prose poetry, but with a bit of both fiction and non-fiction thrown in.
Really, it doesn’t matter how you categorise it, because the important thing – at least for me – is the way that it makes you feel. And for me, it made me feel frustrated that I wasn’t the one that wrote it. It’s hauntingly beautiful and cleverly done, hitting you in the face with all its imagery.
