Hurray, I was hoping for this – a strong ending to a strong series, although there was a little bit of a dip two thirds of the way through. What’s been strange about reading this series is that it never specifically blown my mind or approached 5* all-time favourite territory, but it has been consistently pretty good throughout. I can’t think of any other book or series that has made me feel like that.

Of course, I can’t say too much about this one without sharing spoilers from each of the volumes that has come before, but suffice to say that I thought it was a worthy end to the series. At first, when I started reading it, I wondered how they were going to tell the whole story in six volumes, and then it went off in a direction I wasn’t expecting. Now, I think it ended at the perfect time, and I enjoyed the journey.
