If you haven’t heard of Jim’ll Paint it then you’re in for a treat. He’s basically an artist, except all of his paintings are created in Microsoft Paint based on suggestions by his audience. That’s why the front cover shows Brian Blessed punching a polar bear, and they only get weirder from there.
I had to give his book a 5/5 just because it made me smile so much. There wasn’t a bad picture in the entire collection, and Jim must have a lot of talent to even be able to make these things in the first place. Some of them were less entertaining than others, but that’s always going to happen in a collection like this.
All in all, if you’re looking for a cute little coffee table book that’s going to improve your day, there are worse places to look. I also hear that Jim has a new collection coming soon through Unbound, the crowdfunding publisher. I’m glad to hear that he’s still going and that he’s still publishing, so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for it and maybe even pledging support.
