This is a short story collection that was sent to me by Isabelle Kenyon of Fly on the Wall press, and it continues the excellent run of short fiction that she’s sent to me over the last year or so.

Obviously, as with any book of short stories, there were some that I enjoyed more than others, but I’d say that the majority of them were of a pretty high quality. The first story in the collection stood out particularly, in part because it was kind of classical in nature while still being delightfully dark and focussing on the suckier aspects of human existence.

So would I recommend reading this one? Heck yeah, it was damned good.
