Author: Henry Firth and Ian Theasby

Page Count: 240

Rating: 3.5/5

This is the third cookbook that Henry Firth and Ian Theasby have released under their Bosh name, and while it’s not as though there’s anything wrong with this one, I just didn’t enjoy it as much of the others, possibly because it was all about providing healthier recipes and so there was less vegan junk food for me to tuck into. Not that I even eat that much of the stuff these days anyway.

What I did get was a few good ideas for meals that I could experiment with, which I now find much more fun and more appealing than cooking by following a recipe. I also appreciated the additional information that the book included at the start of it, including a bunch of reference notes and some further information on nutrition, which is good news for people who are sick of being asked where they get their protein from.

Overall, if you’re trying to eat healthier and you’re using a plant-based, whole food diet to get you there, this is a pretty good book for giving you some inspiration in the kitchen. It might not be something that you turn to every evening, but there are certainly a few ideas in there that can help you to do something different for a special occasion. Yum.
