Well, I’m up to five books out of seven in the Chronicles of Narnia series, and while this isn’t exactly my favourite of them so far, it also isn’t my least favourite either. It’s just fine, even though there’s a new super annoying character who can even rival how irritating Edmund was back in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

So basically, if you’ve made it this far in the series already then you might as well keep going, and just because I don’t think this was quite as good as the last one, it doesn’t mean it isn’t worth continuing. I also like how Edmund has gone through a transformation between the start of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the end of this one.

All in all then, it’s not a perfect children’s novel, but it’s also not bad for what it is. Just try to overlook the little bits of Christian propaganda. It’s fine.
