Like most poetry collections, there’s good and bad here, and that’s okay. I enjoyed the wordplay, and I also appreciated that several of the poems were set explicitly in Amsterdam, which is one of my favourite cities. It’s also timely and fresh thanks to a reference to COVID-19.
