There were some pretty good recipes in here, but there were also some pretty bad ones. Still, I had fun going through it and trying out some of the different recipes, and I appreciated the quality of the photography and the way that the recipes were all laid out. It was easy to dip in and out of and the fact that it’s quite a small book means that it doesn’t take up too much space in the kitchen when you’re cooking with it.
Would I recommend it? Well that kind of depends whether you’re into plant-based food or not, and it also depends whether you can pick it up cheap or whether you pay full price for it. Some of the recipes were great, but the vast majority were just so so, and honestly there are better vegan cookbooks on the market.
One good thing, though, is that even though this is technically a cookbook for vegetarians as well as vegans, I didn’t spot any non-vegan recipes inside. I get the impression that it’s just a vegan cookbook and that they added the word vegetarian to help it sell.
