Author: Albert Camus

Rating: 4/5

This is a pretty heavy read that definitely comes with a whole heap of trigger warnings. Camus is basically taking a look at the subject of suicide, which he calls “the one truly serious philosophical problem”.

But despite that, it’s not bleak. It’s designed to make you think, not to make you jump out of the nearest high window. There’s a lot of stuff here about absurdism too, which quite honestly went over my head, but I’m still glad that I gave it a go, even if it did miss out on some of the nuances.

It definitely provided food for thought, and my curiosity has been piqued. Bring on more Camus.
