This was an interesting little read because it’s essentially Alan Bennett’s take on the Kenneth Grahame classic. Bennett was commissioned to write a stage play version of The Wind in the Willows, and this was the result.
As with most things by Bennett, I found the introduction to be the most interesting part, although it’s all worth reading. It was also a fun read for me because I’ve never read The Wind in the Willows before.
