I wasn’t looking forward to picking this one up, but that was purely because the specific edition that I own is a beat up old edition from the seventies with tiny print. Did people have better eyesight back then? I mean, I have pretty good vision, but I can still only read books like this under a direct light source.

Anyway, the story itself was pretty much everything that I could have asked for from an Agatha Christie book. I was also glad that golf didn’t feature too heavily in it, which was kind of implied by the cover. I’ve had enough of that already from Murder on the Links and I’ve never been much of a fan of sports in books, or in general.

Overall, it wasn’t the best Christie I’ve read, but it was refreshing to pick something up without Poirot or Marple in it. It wasn’t fantastic, but it wasn’t too shabby either. That’s about all I have to say though, sorry!
