It’s the review that most of my friends have been waiting for. Adrianna Taylor lives a double life, earning a living as a dominatrix – The Story of Control is her memoir, and while she’s only the same age as I am, she’s had enough experiences to last a lifetime.

A word of warning – the sex scenes are graphic, and they’re based on real events. If you’re prudish (or squeamish) then this isn’t the book for you, despite the fact that it’s absolutely fascinating. In fact, I enjoyed reading it so much that I broke one of my own rules – there were a lot of typos in it, the only let down, and that’s usually an automatic 6/10. But screw the typos, this deserves an 8 regardless.
