This is essentially a selection of thoughts on how murder has been carried out throughout the ages. It was pretty interesting but not mindblowing.

Daniel Kehlmann – You Should Have Left

If you like creepy stories about haunted houses then you’re going to like this one. It has a great sense of growing dread and while it’s written in a somewhat unusual style, it works well. It’s also aesthetically pleasing as a book, and it’s full of fantastic little paragraphs that do a great job of capturing the thoughts that pass through your head and get forgotten about.

All in all, it’s a gripping little read that would make a great addition to anyone’s collection. But don’t read it if you don’t like scary stories, because it’ll keep you up at night.
